Nasty Nick the Vampire is the most sought after Garbage pail kid and has sold for 100 to 150 or so alone....

That is one neat cool series and flashback to middle school days....

I never have jumped on grenade yet and bought a book of them, but they sale in complete sets aroun 150 up to about 400 on ebay or so depending on many variables, via new seires, old series, amount in collection or compete series or not, etc....

Pretty close on my estimation as buy it now 429 free ship and the next link is running auction setting at 225 or so with 4 days to go. I saw sets 1-15 original listed at 5k and I think many of these GP collectors are DELUSIONAL on their pricing....

" If you want to sell it for spot you can scrub your driveway with it if you want, but if youre charging a premium my standards go up. The higher the premium the better quality I expect as well"

Ok - I get that.

I paid some thing like $2 over spot for 4 of the Morgue Anne silver coins. I had no coin with rim dings and each one is cleanly pressed. I purchased 6 of the Silver Walkers in this series earlier and every one of them is also clean as well as the 6 copper coins I bought... All I read here was a post calling them questionable quality and haven't seen anything to support that claim.

These are nice bullion coins - selling very close to spot and I've not gotten a bad coin in the set so far - so I question the statement the quality is suspect.

Doug--Looking at a grand total of 16 rounds isn't an extensive survey. Your 16 rounds may have been acceptable while those shipped to others weren't in nearly
as good condition. There's a report of weakly-struck rounds just four posts before yours. The only thing your 16 rounds prove is that you were fortunate.

I bought a tube of CSM's once and not even one of them had any milk spots or mint/transit damage, which proves that the most absolutely unimaginable things
can occasionally happen. RCM nonetheless continues to hold first place in producing milk-spotted and mint/transit-damaged coins.

Fat Freddy - I have 16 very nice rounds. My sampling so far is better than a post that indicates he had a poorly stamped round, and weak rims. So far that is the sampling posted and doesn't support the questionable quality post.

On the other hand your correct - a broad sampling of coins as you note is supportive of questioable quality in regards to the RCM coins - and you were lucky.

Doug I wasnt disagreeing with you I was just speaking generally about bullion quality.

Im sure these are just like every other private round, most are good with a couple bad batches mixed in.

basebal - I understand your point. I just was pushing back on the generalizing of poor quality on this bullion with no real supporting information. These are actually low priced and so far I haven't seen any reason not to buy them, but even if I do get a clinker in the batch it isn't like they are being sold at high premiums. I buy these as conversation pieces and not much more. I see blank 1 oz. silver rounds selling for more than these.

My grand daughter got a kick out of the Morgue Anne - liked it better than the Walker because of the details such as the bone/teeth showing etc... so they work for me! :)

Doug I agree. I dont think any quality issues is unique to them and the premiums are very reasonable. I dont expect a terrible coin but at the same time dont expect it to look like a W ASE either. If anything these probably suffer from unrealistic expectations from being used to super high quality mint rounds.

I got the silver bullet bullion rounds for the same reasons you mentioned, a nice conversation piece and because I like it. As long as youre happy with it thats all that really matters

I love the look of these coins. I thought the quality was fine. I gave some out to family and friends and they loved them. With the whole zombie craze they make a fun present.

Now if you want ridiculous look at the prices for them on ebay...

Anybody else seen the new Zombucks ZomBuffalo by Provident?

Not that I'm rushing out there to purchase one but I have to admit that they do look pretty cool!
