Quote: Wowzers - that is a very nice way to present them. I would love to see close ups on the corresponding days if you have individual shots. Really neat looking set Bill!! Thanks for sharing them with us. Love the little half sisters. Especially the drapped bust types.

All right; three times said on this thread is enough for me. 1800 was not a "millennial" year! We've only had two of those; the year 1000 and the year 2000!

I'd like to show the individual coins in the Draped Bust Half Cent set. Some, but not all, are actually pretty nice. However, I'm having a heck of a time getting the colors right with my newish Epson scanner. All but the 1805 come out dark and rather drab. For what it's worth, here is that 1805 -(And it Yep, somebody cleaned it! For the record, here are the Cohen Numbers - Date Cohen #1800 1 1802/0 2 1803 1 1804 10 1805 1 1806 1 1807 1 1808/7 2 1808 3 By the way, the plexiglass holder was custom made by some fellow who advertised in Coin World years ago. I'd like to find someone who does that kind of work now-a-days. Cheers, Bill

Philadelphian- Please accept my contrite apology! You are of course, absolutely correct. Perhaps my 1800 Half Cent is, instead, a centurion? ;-)

Oops, I almost forgot... 1802 is a date for which I have a large cent, as well. NGC XF details (cleaning, alas). She's retoned prettily for all that.

My oldest LC unfortunately. I have been passing on many opportunities for earlier pieces due to lack of quality over the years. That has been a mistake, as I have learned over the years, copper from the 179X time are rarely problem free and evenly worn or struck. If I hold the high standard for NEVER buying a coin that would obviously be tagged "details" by a TPG, I will probably buy few, if any. The fun of holding one raw is undeniable.

Moe, is that a clash on the reverse of your 1802?
