Very interesting eddio,thank you
The seller's photo was indeed lifted from the coinsandcanada site.
So what does the seller's coin look like?
Are some of the coins on coinsandcanada's guide, counterfeits?
What's the point of all this?
Can you provide a photo of the fake coin artdio?

DBM I will do one better..My client is willing to part with one Now nicklesguy is getting the coin so I will let him do the pics with pointers for everyone to look at..... Now here is the kicker....The seller replied to my asking for that coin and his answer was this

"" Just left 1921 of 50 cent.how much you want to buy? ""

So I am taking it one step further.. I told him I was also interested in an 1870 NO LCW , 1888, 1894 ,1899 and also the 1932. Now here are the pics of the 1921 he wants to sell me

So I will see what and if he has those counterfeits also....

Thanks artdio.
Poor pics, but the '21 appears it may have the typical nose/forehead missing metal typical of Chinese fakes. The date looks wrong, but not like the date on Chinese fakes I have stored on my computer.

Ya the pics are poor but they came to me via ebay messages so all I could do was take a pic off my monitor with my new cam..... Cant wait to see how much he wants for that 21 , and as you said DBM the date is wonky , the rest looks ok, but I have been doing hardwood floors since 5 am. and just decided ( about 2 hours ago ) that a few cool ones would be nice..

There is no need to do it that way. Press the "printscreen" button on your keyboard. Paste it into any image editing program (such as Paint) then crop/save.

The image on ebay appears to indeed be stolen. It is not of a counterfeit coin. IMO
