Good looking coin, just not experienced enough to know how good. Thanks in advance for your opinions! Edited by nandemo1 08/17/2013 10:59 am

I'm guessing AU-55. Just a tiny bit of contact wear on sideburn and cross of crown.

Perhaps it's how the image appears on my monitor, however I was thinking GVF apart from what looks like encrustation (verdigris ?) under the obv legend and all the rev design.

When enlarged you can see lot of wear on the high points.... Best guess is AU or AU55 with trace of Red

AU55 Toning is where lustre has been broken. Loss of detail on high points appears due to wear rather than quality of strike.

It's definitely not an MS coin. Flatness in the band at the 2nd set of jewels ...is the biggest problem for me... too much shine/contact/wear in the high spots of the beard... ..slight contact in the collar at the highest point near the neck... AU55 at best ...IMHO...
