Was told by a coin guy he had not seen this on this year before. So is it one of a kind and does it have value? If you look closely you can still see his hair line in the gouge. Was told it couldn't have been pressed or scrapped out after mint cause you would not see this line.

Hi, This looks like it could be a lamination peel, where part of the metal has peeled away due to the planchet having imperfections in the metal. I'm not 100% sure about it though. It could also be a struck through debris error, or post mint damage. Closer pictures would help determine what it is.

to CCF. Could be a struck through. What does the reverse look like?

The edges look real crisp. I'm thinking a Struck through, but images of the reverse will tell if it is a struck through or coin damage. Closer images of the obverse will also tell more.

I thought right away that it was struck through also. I hope we get reverse pics so this can be confirmed.
