I have an offer for $500 on it, and I suspect that if I get it graded by PMG I can get closer to $1000+. I am new to the nuances of note grading, will staple holes kill the value? Valiamo Valued Member Canada 122 Posts	Posted 08/28/2013 6:59 pm The staple holes will effect your overall grading, as they are considered a fault in the bill. But, when considering the overall grading of the bill, it is not as bad a distractant as a piece missing or a tear on the bill. Charlton's grading says "a note with portions missing should be graded as if it were a whole note, then the amount missing should be fully described.' in this case the bill will be described as fine w/pinholes.
