I will post a pic later, but the note itself looks to be a good midrange Fine, except for these holes. I have an offer for $500 on it, and I suspect that if I get it graded by PMG I can get closer to $1000+.

I am new to the nuances of note grading, will staple holes kill the value?

Hi Anjohl, Staple holes wont kill it but, it wont do it any good either.

The staple holes will effect your overall grading, as they are considered a fault in the bill.

But, when considering the overall grading of the bill, it is not as bad a distractant as a piece missing or a tear on the bill. Charlton's grading says "a note with portions missing should be graded as if it were a whole note, then the amount missing should be fully described.' in this case the bill will be described as fine w/pinholes.
