I'm thinking the two Morgans are good and I'm undecided on the 1802 half but I would guess that it's OK.

Mike, being able to positively identify counterfeit coins boosts my confidence when dealing with online dealers. Those pictures are a nice tool in my Counterfeit Detection arsenal... Thank you for your hard work. Marc |

I think it would be a good idea to make a post like this and others relating to counterfeit coins a sticky thread that always appears at the top of the message list that members can consult, instead searching hit and miss through all messages.

Last year when I joined this forum, I read that a "new" section was being developed specifically dealing with "fakes" and "Counterfeits". What ever happened to that? Is there a requirement for help...I would

Marc. It is a constantly evolving work. Thank you for your kind words. The images may/will appear here one day. I will be putting on a Seminar at the next Coin Expo dealing with Chinese Fakes. My next article in the RCNA Journal deals with the importance of the markers as identifiers, not the planchets. MM |

I am sooooooooo glad that there's people like you, who are keeping a good lookout for fake coins on ebay. There's a lot of us newbies out there, that wouldn't know what to look out for. Thanks!!  |
