I was bidding on a lot of George V nickels on ebay. Didn't win the auction but was offered a second chance lot at my high bid so I accepted. The 1932 in the lot turned out to be a far 2 variety. That one was based on luck, but I have picked up a couple more lots of nickels that I'm proud of.

Please do not include posts where the uneducated were blatantly taken advantage of. Beat a dealer or ebay seller, but please no neighbor or like example. It will only lead to harsh words etc etc etc TIA

It was in early 2010 or 2011. It was a buy it now obviously, and they were sold to a very reputable dealer in the GTA. The ebay seller was in California. I've got a few more examples of incredible deals from ebay. One that stands out is the 2008 Downy Woodpecker. That's a $200+ coin that I got for $5. Again, an american seller

I bought 3 2013 1oz Silver Maple Leafs just last week for a total of $79.01 which did include $3.25 for shipping on ebay Item # 130966905794. Got it at the right time, not a huge deal but a dollar or more less than the going rate.

Last winter, used my snowbird friends account and won at least 20 auctions of Canadian bills for under face. I believe I took in $125.00 for less than $100. All of the sellers had "no Canada" shipping rules, I just had them shipped to Arizona, and retrieved them on vacation. The best was 2x $5.00 1937 issue bills for $7.50 including shipping.

I've had a few of those as well. Last time I got about $50 in various coins for $40 shipped. I'm guessing his local bank didn't want a bunch of Canadian coins.
