She's going to have a bunch of friends over for a party, so I also figured crazy young girls and lots of loose coins wouldn't mix. We let her open one present a day early, and it was a box full of coin treasures that originated around the world, and were gifted from around the US & Canada! Here are pictures as promised: Here's everything she got: US Coins/Tokens: - 1825 Large Cent (from the "trade up" thread) - 1907 Indian Head cent (100 years before her date of birth!) - 1941 Mercury dime (her first circulated silver!) - 1969 Philadelphia mint token - 1976 P & D Bicentennial Quarters - Uncirculated - 1978 Ike dollar - 1985 Lincoln Cent with a heart stamped on the obverse - 1986 Statue of Liberty Commemorative Half Dollar - Lincoln cents - offset die stamps (2) - 1999 P & D Quarter Sets - Uncirculated - 2007 American Silver Eagle - Part of the group contribution - 2007 US Proof Set (all 14 coins) - Part of the group contribution - 2007 US Proof Quarter set US Dollar Bills: - 1995 WEB Note - 2006 Star Note Other 1985 Costa Rica - 5 Colones 1992 Costa Rica - 10 Colones 1985 Costa Rica - 20 Colones 1993 Liberia 1 Dollar (Nolan Ryan commemorative) 1989 UK - 1 Penny 1997 UK - 1 Penny 1990 UK - 2 Pence 1991 UK - 5 Pence 19? - Coin from Eastern Asia I haven't identified yet What a great day. Extra special thanks to Earle42 for getting this idea off the ground! What started out as me trying to trade up to a 2007 US Proof Set ended up something much bigger.
