A question for the experts: are 100 oz JM bar with TD BANK on it worth any premiums?

I have seen special versions of the 100oz Johnson Matthey bars sell with high premiums but the hard part is finding collectors that are willing to pay it. For example, I've seen one of the 100oz Johnson Matthey Statue of Liberty (Liberty trade silver) bar sell for $4100 when silver was about $30 an ounce on ebay. Dollar, do you actually have a 100oz JM TD bank bar? If so you should post a picture of it. I have a 20oz version of the TD bank bar myself and I believe I've seen a 50oz version before but never a 100oz.

No, I don't have the bar. I saw it at local store. They are asking 8.5% above spot. I am thinking to get a 100oz bar, just not sure if it is worth it for the TD bank version. I couldn't find any info on the internet.

Were you planning on flipping it? It might be a good idea to buy and hold onto it for a while. You might make a good chunk of change when the time comes to sell. Is it a poured bar or pressed bar?

It's poured. I most likely to flip it if I could make some profit for my other collecting.

I would pick it up myself as long as its the real deal. To me paying 8.5% above spot for a vintage collectors silver bar is definitely worth it.

Yes it does. I would place a value on it around $725. It could be higher or lower just depending on what other collectors are willing to pay.

Yes, these are nice and hard to find BUT the Koalagram in gold version are MUCH MUCH TOUGHER to find.

This 3 oz bar is the only one I've seen and own, they normally come in grams.

Excellent pick-up NVU! I've seen one of those DOW bars before. It is unusual they come in a 3oz version. Looks similar to the 100 gram bars. I certainly hope to add one to my collection someday. And yes the gold 1 gram Koalagram bar is indeed rare to find. I've seen a couple before but I didn't pull the trigger on one.

8% is standard in general though. Where are you getting silver for anywhere closer to spot retail?
