Secondly, I believe that these coins, particularly the gold one will appreciate in value over the long term. The appeal to Superman collectors is greater than some might think.

I don't think you should worry about the cost of your gold coin. You completed your set and that's what counts.

there is definitely an increase in the overall Superman sales on ebay Canada commemorative.... in the past week dec 2-8th.. ....easily double the sales from the week before..the number of gold superman coins available for sale averages about 15 coins at any one time ....i expect the coming week to be a bit more volume as the shopping season intensifies.....thanks again to the Curse for the great stats.....

Last week from Dec 9-15th appears to be the peak of the shopping season sales through ebay canada commemorative section..This is the section I follow for analysis on Superman NCLT..There was a higher volume of Superman coins in general and sales averaged about 15 per day and over 400 listings to choose from. The gold Superman coins averaged about 18 available per day with several included in complete 7 coin sets. Sales of Gold Superman coins from the 9-15th dec were approx 2 coins with about 7 new listings. As far as prices go on Gold it would appear that 1700 is the best deal available right now and most of the gold is offered in BIN listings between 2-3 K. After the holiday season it will be interesting to watch this market as the credit card bills roll in and gold superman could be sacrificed to pay bills! So I would expect the best deals on Gold will follow the new year 2014 year but that will be short lived and I doubt that the best deals will be lower than 1400.00 because the demand/ scarcity factor will keep the Gold coins in the 2K plus range for the most part and once buyers realize that...well ..if youve been following this thread you know my thoughts are bullish for superman gold in the long term..Happy holiday season to all and best wishes for a profitable and healthy new year!

Just watched a single superman gold sell for 1770.00(roughly). Looks like the there was at least a slight up tick from the 14xx.xx pricing from a couple weeks ago.
