Thanks, Ray. If others that have had good success with a copy stand (bellows setup) could chime in and share their opinions and photos of their setups. Please include brand names of copy stands. Many thanks.

For full slab shots with an APS camera, I wonder if something like a Micro-Nikkor 55mm/2.8 lens (attached to the camera with no extension tubes) would work on short copy stands. This assumes that you can easily swap out a bellows attachment for a direct camera baseplate attachment with these stands, perhaps using Arca-swiss type QR clamps/brackets, etc.

In my case, I can't shoot full slabs with the usual 80mm lens and bellows, since the minimum bellows extension is too long. I have to switch to the 135mm lens, and with that lens I have to raise the camera up so high that I need to stand up before each shot (to use the touchscreen to switch to 5x liveview for focusing). I suppose it's good exercise, though.

ham something I did with the last 2 coins. I put a piece of white sheet over top the camera. to shut out any stray light. its funny when you look at the coins. the different effect on the images because of the holders. I think this is why ray and dave tell us the shoot one kind and then adjust our setup when we something else ham search and look for that seattlegoodwill . I have purchased a few lens from them they are very good to deal with. fast shipping and they are very honest. good people. I have get some great deals there

Thanks, Ray. I'll put in a bid of $275. Would that be too much? What would be a fair price? Hamm
