I have coins from Argentina to Zanzibar...A to Z...and everywhere in between. My main focus is US coins and currency, so my foreign coins and currency are for sale or trade...email if interested.

I have a very narrow focus of numismatics. I only collect flat, round (or other shaped) pieces of metal, wood, or plastic that have things stamped, written, or engraved on them. I narrow this down further by limiting my collection to those pieces that have been produced by a governement (or other organization) for a reason (or just for fun). I try to limit myself to those pieces that will fit in a 2x2, however I have recently found 2.5" x 2.5" cardboard holders. God help me if they start making 2x2's big enough for manhole covers.
The collection I activly work on is Canadian silver coins. Right now, I'm focusing on dollars. However, while I do that I keep every world coin I can get my hands on. I collect each coin from each country by date and mint mark. I guess you could say it is a cataloged hoard? I've got lots of duplicates that I need to either sell or trade.

I collect coins from everywhere but my focus depends on which coins I happened to find a deal on recently. I'm trying to fill in a collection of British coppers from Victoria to decimalization. I'm working on French coppers from Napoleon III to WWII. I've always had a particular attraction to British colonials. I've also been trying to fill a preindependence set from Seychelles (I'm down to only 3 coins left and they are scarce). I'm only missing a 1967 six pence to finish out my second predecimilization set from Fiji. I also have a one from each country set with 382 different places as of now. Perhaps somewhat uniquely, I'm also trying to assemble a one of each value set. For example, 1 Afghani, 1 1/4 Centesimi, 1 1/2 Pence, 2 Reales, 2 1/2 Gulden, etc. My set ranges from 1/80 to 250,000. Mainly, I do not collect for profit, I collect for fun and history.

Jays-Dad, how many coins are in your value set?, thats an interesting way of doing it!
I also have them from everywhere, sorted geographically. Strongest areas are (in order from most to least) Australia, UK, France, Germany

Jays-Dad - You gotta be kidding me! I'm piecing together a Seychelles circulated coinage set. If you shop ebay, we've probably been bidding on the same coins. Seems like the tough one to find at a reasonable price is the 1939 1/2 Rupee. By the way, I started this set because I already had many of the coins due to my fish-themed collection. What made you decide on the Seychelles?

Generally anything that goes in the pocket and has a little bit of rarity, but at a cost and condition where pocket wear will not spoil it. Heavy copper and silver coins especially. French revolutionary, Russian and Finnish imperial, Swedish, Canadian, English 1500-1900, Dutch, Spanish. Today for instance my pocket contained a 5/4K Union Force 5 franc, a 1793W 1 sol tablet, a 5A 5 centime, and a 1670 Potosi 4 reales cob. Tomorrow is another day.....

As of now, my one of each denomination set has 60 different denominations, listed below. I want this set to be free from commemoratives, only circulating coins, but a few commemoratives slipped in there.

Snowman,
I knew that I wasn't the only one chasing down Seychelles. Rare ones that have little "value" are selling for far more than they are worth.
I'm missing these: 1971 Five Cents 1969 Ten Cents (nonproof) 1970 Ten Cents 1967 1 Rupee 1972 5 Rupees (silver)
As for the 1939 half rupee, I've got three of them and would trade a VG specimen for any of the above listed. For that matter, anyone got any of these?

Sorry, the only duplicates that I have are the FAO coins. There's certainly no shortage of those.

I have coins from several different countries including Ecuador, Costa Rica, Australia, Mexico, Canada, French Polynesia, and several others. Whenever I visit a foreign country I don't spend any change, although this sometimes makes for very heavy pockets on the return trip. I also have a selection of bills from the above countries. No specific focus, just hoarding because it's fun!
