Whatever details you can provide would be great. I have rolls of pre-82 copper pennies I'm getting ready to sell. Also, I have weighed the '82s. No wheats, all 1960-1982.

i recently got $145 for $100 face on ebay, but til you take out shipping and fees I made like $23. Barely worth the effort, if at all. however, if you can sell them on craigslist and remove the ebay and shipping, it was worth it. I used to get 150 to 155/100 face on craigslist. my buyer dried up. I was filling his vault for him.

ebay fees are 10% now, paypal is 2.9% + $0.30.

A roll couldn't sell on ebay at a profit because it's too small a margin. You would have to sell at $1.45, then a few dollars more for shipping just to break even.

copper pennies are ofter sold in CTUs, copper trade units. That's $100 FV. That usually sells between $160-180 on ebay. Even at the high end, $180 x .871 = 156.78 -.30 = 156.48 -$16.85 shipping cost = $139.63 - $100fv = 39.63 profit, best case scenario possible on ebay.

You can fit $18FV of copper cents in a Priority Mail small flat rate box. I call them "mini-CTUs". B)
