Thanks Moe! Yours are bad to the bone also. That 1808 is a beauty!! It takes me a while to make posts like this, so if I skip a few days, it will be because I don't have the time. I wish someone would do a thread like this for CBQ's. May not be as popular, but they are my true love. Especially the large sized variety. I like them with good honest looking wear. I don't buy many any more for a couple reasons. I don't see them that often, and they have shot up in price over the past 7-8 years. I just like seeing what other people have. I'm nosy!

I like the idea. However, it's a tough coin type to collect, and not many people have them. I would certainly like to see your collection, maybe in a future "Days of..." thread, maybe a "Capped Bust Coins"?

Here's my 1809. I see a few others mention the marks above the eagles head on the reverse and even though this picture doesn't show them that well, this one has them too so it must be some sort of damage to the die. It looks like another die's edge made hard contact in that area to me....

Ha! Looks like I thought it was VF-30 in that thread also. Great looking coin. I like it enough to pay EF money so it doesn't really matter.
