@Relic:
I meant "Red Flag Deals". Go there and search for "Numismatic". Go directly to the last page and start reading from there.

@arianzo, burglars check your freezer 1st for frozen credit cards or maybe just doing that way to prevent you from using. This is an old trick that experienced burglars know.

My mom used to keep her cash in those small international coffee tins in the freezer. Now it's hidden in various books with clothes thrown over top. Half the time she forgets where she stashes her cash. When cleaning she stumbles across forgotten stashes. However, she's 82 and her mom was like this too. I've also inherited the habit. Several times when looking through books or old documents I will find from $20-$400 put away. Currently I have 2 $100 bills, I don't remember where I hid them.

Just be careful not to accidentally throw out old documents, pcket-change. I hid a nice piece of jewellery once and it went out with the trash. Also, check your library books when you return them.

Do you know if something happens with the silver if put in the freezer?

Someone told me once that if you wanted to hide silver in the freezer, the best way was to wrap it in aluminum foil, and then a ziplock bag. I don't know how accurate or useful this is. I haven't tried it myself

Hey all spice you gave me a great idea for Christmas time. I'll take some 1 dollar bills and attach a little note, then I'll stick them in children's story books at the library. Of course I'll stagger the age groups and times. This way I won't have children going around checking the books for money. I better go and win some paper dollars. Maybe I'll Inspire budding collectors or encourage reading ! I wonder if you can hide a coin in a book?

On the other forum (which is trustful source), I saw this, as one of additional for November release: Selectively Gold plated O Canada 1/2 oz Series with mintage 1.500 and with wooden boxSo, now it looks like all un-sold "O Canada 1/2oz" coins, were gold-plated and re-packed as limited premium set. RCM is very creative with the re-packaging of O Canada... Did you enjoy our simple set? (I am - not, since didn't get the box yet). Now the time to buy "Limited edition" * ADDED: Actually the poster from Europe, so can be assumed, that "selective gold plating" was done in Germany and this variety of the set targeted for European market mostly. ***And : "Traditions of Hunting" I wait for this one. IMO, very nice, but not very popular series.

I have the traditions of hunting, it's a beautifully detailed coin with a wonderful story, it's the quality of seven yr war and the bank note coin. I never tire of looking at it. Sadly it's much over looked! I guess this will happen with so many releases.
