While perusing George Manz Coins,he mentions a coin that comes with ICCS Executive Certificate.
What is this?
Is this the ICCS version of +grading?

I believe it's basically a letter from Brian with a detailed breakdown of the grade (details on strike, eye appeal, surfaces, lustre, etc).

View it as the long-form birth certificate of an ICCS graded coin.

I've seen a few +20K coins that have this 'executive cert'.

It doesn't make any difference to me if a coin has one or not.

I think they're quite expensive to have ICCS do one.

Am I safe to assume ICCS still uses their cheap flimsy plastic holders with their executive cert?

I've never seen an executive cert, but I believe it's basically a piece of paper that accompanies the ICCS coin in the "cheap flimsy plastic holder". It would say "In regards to ICCS cert number AA 001..."

I don't know why anyone would want one. It's a thorough professional opinion, but I fail to see the value it adds. It might be nice if selling a coin based on description alone, but any of the coins that have one aren't going to be coins you would ever buy sight unseen.
