So much depends on where you live, how much you want to put in safe, how much more will be added in the near future. The one discussed is OK for a small amount of items but for larger amounts it will soon enough be to small. As to where you live. In some areas having a safe is like saying something really valuable is here. Best find a place so the average person will not see it. Make sure anyone that knows you have one keeps their mouths shut. One of my neighbors HAD a larger safe than that. It was a tip off to whoever broke in, put him in the hospital, stayed there long enough to get the safe out of the house somehow. As long as there is a safe, there are criminals that know how to either open it or remove it. Safes are great as long as you can hide them. Of course that depends on where you live. The person that does my taxes had his office broken into. Front and rear doors were thick steel with several types of burgler proof locks. yeah, right.
Another thing about a safe is if it gets to hot, the metal of your coins should be OK but all the plastic slabs, Proof and Uncirc packaging will melt onto the coins. Any coins in Albums with plastic slides will have one big pile of stuff all over the coins. Coins in plastic rolls will be preserved in a plastic envelope for eternity. Many of the newer Cents of Zinc will naturally melt onto other coins. I think it would be safer to keep all your coins and valuables in something that you could grab and run in case of a fire. Also, something that does not look like something of value.

I have my large collection stored in a Liberty Gun Safe, Model D-25, Fire Test Exposure 1200 deg F, Maximum Internal Temperature Rise 275 deg F for 60 minutes. Safe cost me $1800.00 from the only dealer in town and I believe it's by far the best on the market.

Please remember that the fire ratings on safes are as noted here already for a specific period of time. I don't think the chances of a fire in most homes would last to long in many well populated areas where there is an ample fire department. However, many people have already found that a house fire, can be a total fire where the entire house is lost. Many fire departments in congested areas attempt to stop the fire from spreading and not worry to much about the house on fire if already well engolfed in flames. This means the so called fire rating for an hour or so is insufficient. I still think the safest method is to have valuables in a container or place for fast removal. If the house or apartment is a total loss, so would all the valuables. This is based on actual fires in my area and may not be the case where you live.
