Dump question... Will I get the same COA # for all coins in a subscription set?

The name of this thread is somewhat ironic, is it not?
It's sad that some folks have to belittle others for no good reason other than to make themselves feel like one of the Great Lakes.

Arianzo You are right... The thread never is garbage to the people who's main concern is over the petty stuff as listed above numerous times..But when someone can't put their opposing view in without getting slammed to the nines doesn't make for a good thread. Quote: Well, maybe because you don't care about the investment so how you'll get a profit buying stuff nobody wants.
But many people do consider this a hobby and an investment. Love this quote.... You state I'm buying coins no one wants,,,, but I'm buying the same ones you all are...so no one will want your coins either. If people aren't smart enough to know what is going to be a good flip, when to do it, and what to stay away from, and to buy what you like without expectations of profit by now without consulting a forum board, I suggest you get to know your "apparent" investment a little better. Everyone cares about return in their investments. I'm just bright enough to know what my odds are on NCLT and that it's a long shot to break even let alone profit...

Quote: Dump question... Will I get the same COA # for all coins in a subscription set? Hi snoopy! There's no such thing as a "Dump" question or a dumb question either... No, each coin will come with a different, randomly chosen COA.

Dumb...
Then the only different is the wood box. But it doesn't come with the clamshell cases though...

I have a hard time understanding why some people can't agree when the MINT advertised that the mintage will be 1500 that it should stay at 1500.

I assume "awaiting stock" is an indication of "sold out" soon...
If so, does it mean the individual coin is more attractive than the subscription? The subscription mintage is much lower, but why is it not sold out faster?

@ snoopy
It's a good question you ask.
It's difficult to know why the individual Lake Superior coin is "Awaiting Stock" while the subscription is still available.
Part of the answer is that the mint's authorized dealers are given quite a large quantity to sell leaving less coins for the mint to sell. Also the mint has to be sure they keep on hand 1,500 coins to fulfill the subs.
Lastly, I think it's easier to sell a single coin compared to a sub which requires more commitment. Only time will tell if the subs will eventually sell out.

We should flood the mint with phone calls about the mintage lol, maybe they will make things clearer on their website... but likely not..

That's subscription? Interesting! I should be receiving mine today...
BTW, any concern with the quality of the coin?

CC Hopefully they put you down for subscription. Weird that the clamshell would come with it if it was subscription. The coin looks great from a distance though.

Quote: any concern with the quality of the coin? Well...since you asked...the quality seems ok but overall, the coin is a little disappointing to me. I see very little of the "raised land against a translucent enamel filled lake." It looks pretty much flat, two different colour blues that don't really convey gradual depth changes and the background is way too brilliant. I find I have to hold it at just the right angle to see much of the coin's feature. For what it's worth, the artist in the house (not me) said "it looks like a blue blob". lol Edit to add: Yes, thought maybe my rep got it wrong so I checked my order and it is the sub. Item No.129664 BTW, the packaging is different too. The new mint logo on the outer box and the COA but the old logo on the clamshell. The COA is different than others too and really isn't going to add anything to the display in the box. I thought maybe it would be something like the Go7 since they seem to have made a slot for it in the box.

I hope mine is at the post office today as I received a pickup tab in the mail yesterday. To beat the dead horse a few people are going on about, I would like it if the mint was a bit more transparent with their information, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I have two very expensive hobbies ( Coins & Race-cars ), both of which I assume I will never recover much of my money. Believe it or not Coins are a LOT cheaper and will pay back way more then the cars ever will. A day on the track will set you back over a grand in track fees, tires, travel and fuel. Plus you still need to have a car and that can cost you $$$$$ use any number you want here :-( But It Is FUN!!

Thanks CC-Ottawa for detailed description.
Mint moves to new package. Btw, I've seen that the last coin of the O Canada 1oz series (single coin) comes with the same package (black) and not in the "O Canada traditional".
So the COA doesn't have any picture or something, just description? Is it be-lingual?
I see in the "short" COA paper good sign, that the set may have one big single COA in addition.
Looks like the coin meets my expectation - blue "something" on the coin surface. but it looks good.
