I see what you mean, wert. It looks like a line just pressed into the field behind the beads. Or is it raised at all? Perhaps a thin strip of rim-metal pressed down into the field like that?

wert I have seen a few like that I thought it was a lamination issue I saw one on a 1969 penny that looked exactly like yours,,very nice I like these errors in coins
