My magnifier isn't too good so I can't tell if it is a DDO. I get my new loupe on Monday and it would be great to have my first proof. I tried uploading the full picture but it keeps saying I need to optimize it.

Hard to tell without a photo of the whole coin if it's a proof, but it doesn't look like a proof from the photo you provided. In regards to the DDO, maybe I'm just missing it, but I don't see any indication of one.

No, it is a normal 1968-S business strike.

Sorry guys. I hit the 9 instead of the 8. I can't tell the difference between a proof and a business strike. I was going off lincoln resource for the info. The 1968 s is listed as a proof and my coin looked similar. Thanks guys for the help. I'll try the pictures again.

These are the best I can do but it's a waste of time. It's looks like a business strike like you said but here's some more pics

San Francisco started striking proofs in 1968 but they also minted business strike cents 1968-1974 and business strike nickels 1968-1970. Proofs of that era will not always have a cameo appearance but the strikes will be much stronger and the fields will be reflective, even after circulation.
