The sellers photo's were not very promising and I didnt like the black spots on it. I agree that the coin is better of cleaned, without the black. Renwax is sometimes used to beneficial effect to preserve and enhance bronze coins, but I can understand why some people don't like it. Spotting unflattering pics can be a good way of finding some nice buys too. I have a few silver denarii ..... not many. I would try and tone it just a little. Now that it is in its best condition a dash of tarnishing to give it a more 'venerable' look. Report this Post to the Staff
