Cracked Or Broken Die Or Both Dime?

It was obviously cracked, but since part of the planchet is missing by the date, I'm thinking it was broken also. The pictures only show some of the major areas. The reverse is normal which is to be expected. Report this Post to the Staff

DoubleDie Valued Member United States 214 Posts	Posted 06/22/2007 4:31 pm I agree with everyone, I dropped the ball on this one. I took the pics in a hurry because I had other coins to photograph. On further reveiw, and due to everyone's comments on the coin, I know see they are lamination cracks. I think the place by and on the date came of before the strike or the strike knocked that part out. I have several coins with lamination problems, so I should know better.
