Hi Andygrill,

Looks like a serious case of corrosion to me. Maybe it was caused deliberately by putting the coin in acid.
Did this one come out of the ground?

It has been beat to death between blocks of wood or pieces of leather. Reason unknown, there are a bunch of bored people out there. Anyhow, the coin isn't an error and isn't corroded.
