We had quite a bit of requests for some sweet GOLD coins. A mighty cry has gone up throughout the land: "We want to see some GOLD!" So, here we go!!

I give you:

The 15 Days of U.S. Gold (1790s-1930s)!

How does this work? On the first day listed below, we all post pictures of our U.S. GOLD coins from the first DECADE the U.S. Mint minted gold coins: 1790-1799. (1 Day = 1 Decade)

Then on the second day, we post all our Gold Coins from the NEXT decade 1800-1809 and so forth and so forth!!

Schedule of "the 15 Days of U.S. Gold (1790s-1930s)":

2 December: 1790-1799
3 December: 1800-1809
4 December: 1810-1819
5 December: 1820-1829
6 December: 1830-1839
7 December: 1840-1849
8 December: 1850-1859
9 December: 1860-1869
10 December: 1870-1879
11 December: 1880-1889
12 December: 1890-1899
13 December: 1900-1909
14 December: 1910-1919
15 December: 1920-1929
16 December: 1930-1933

So break out your Gold albums, get your cameras charged, snap away some epic photos and get 'em ready to start posting on the 2nd of December!

I have a feeling we may be watching "SmallEagle" for the first week or so.

I'll have very little to contribute during that time.

And that makes me sad...

I agree, sadly.

I've been trying to contact SmallEagle, (who's delightful collection of "Small Eagles" is amazing!!), so he/she can contribute to this thread, particularly early on.

How do I do that? (Mods? help?)

Thanks Fuzzy!! But my problem is when I do a Search for old posts of Smalleagle (including archived posts) to send him an email, I get this message:

Quote:
Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 error '80040e31'

Query timeout expired

/forum/search.asp, line 463

I guess my question was more along the lines of is there a way to search for CCF members in order to email one without using "Email Poster"? (maybe not an option?)

But to answer this latest question: Click on My CCF button at the top, then click on Member List, and you can search for their name. Click on their name, you should be shown link to email user

Hi SmallEagle!

I just wanted to make sure you were aware, and to invite you to participate, in a new thread commencing on the 2nd of December, the 15 days of US Gold!! We're posting coins from 1790-1933 using a day per decade format.

https://goccf.com/t/163451#163451

I know your gold collection is most impressive and would definitely help fill in some days where the CCF representation of VERY rare US Gold decades would be, oh so slim!!

Thanks and I hope to see your coins again on this thread!!

Cheers!

Moe

I really think his/her participation will VASTLY enhance this thread!!

My boss monitored it during the day, and I am monitoring it at night. He appreciates that I am monitoring it, but I doubt anyone out of my department even knows or cares.
