I got three Morgans today and all three are very attractive, all with some toning.
They're all in old PCGS and NGC slabs.
Tell me what you think and whatyou would grade them. Then, tell me what you think they are graded, and how much you think I paid for them. Then, tell me what I should have paid for them!

Thanks!

Very nice pickups. The PCGS one is especially nice. Please make seperate grading threads on each coin if you want grade opinions.

PCGS 63, NGC 64, NGC 63. The PCGS is a new slab, by the way.

Oops, didn't mean to put the PCGS under that too.

By the way, chasing, you're WAY off on the PCGS.

The photo makes it look like a 63, doesn't it...

Grading from images is more a matter of interpretation. I get the feeling you're implying that's a 64+ or a 65, which I just can't see with what appears to be negative luster, a decent amount of chatter and a multitude of frost breaks. It just doesn't do it for me at any higher a grade than 63+, especially when this date comes quite nice and with fantastic luster.

64. I'd add a plus, but I doubt one is there, otherwise you'd have to scribble over that as well...

I would have said the 84-O was the highest graded at MS 65, the other 2 63/64 at best. As far as which 1 I like the best it would be the 86 though all 3 look pretty nice. Based on those grades I also would have said anything under $275 would have been well bought. Since we now know it's graded 66 I presume the price was way north of that.

Auction listings appear to be going from $320-$400... I wouldn't have touched that coin for anything over $125 or so. I quite frankly think that coin is overgraded by at least a point.
