Quote: ...the Shannon Twoonie and the Secord 25 cent sets have done very well in the secondary markets... Wish I had known that a couple of weeks ago.I cut up Shannon and Secord sets to fill 1812 collector cards to send to collectors in other countries because I didn't want to crack any more rolls.Could've used the extra money to preserve marital harmony and bought my wife a coffee at Starbuck's this morning instead of just one for myself.Next someone will say the collector cards I got for free are worth double what I paid.

We can't tell you what to collect. If you want a set of quarters than by all means these seem to be nice coins for a good value. If you are collecting them expecting to make a huge profit down the road, I don't think that will happen. I suggest that if you have decided to collect quarters than first buy at least 1 of the key dates of the series that you have chosen. This coin will always have a buyer. When friends look at your set, you can show off that coin and relate the story behind it's acquisition. The other coins will compliment it but the hard to find coins, will remain hard to find. The common coins are common.

Unfortunately that's normal for these 'face value' circulation coin set deals.

Took a while to find it but finally did and ordered two (hint: look under Circulation, not New Releases).

I got 2 as well. Maybe one coin will be flipped, thus giving it a nice premium. That happened to me on the 1812 quarters
