Quote: I have found the occasional 64 a few times over the past few years but have actually found circulated proofs pretty often. I have found 3 silver proofs now. One was very toned and dirty but the feel of the coin was still very sharp. The others were pretty obvious in hand. 3 silver proofs! Nice! Never found one of those, even a clad.

Quote: 1962penny - I'd say you've been very lucky. I can't recall the last silver quarter I've pulled from change. Probably more than 15 or 20 years ago.
I do get about one silver dime per year in change. I would agree. I am fortunate to have found this many. I got the 1947 in payment while holding a yard sale, The 1956 I saw in a tip jar, replaced it with 2 new quarters, And the 64 I got in change from a Taco Bell. Knew it was silver right when it dropped into my hand.

1967CanadianPenny: I looked at the link. Although it is a roll hunt that is still INCREDIBLE.

American silver quarters... none . But if you're talking about any silver quarters... still none.

I've worked as a bank teller for 14 months now, and so far I've seen nothing--although I've only been actually paying attention for the last few months or so. I have seen a silver dime ('61) and half ('68 methinks) come through though, but no quarters.

Here's a pic of that SLQ. Worn pretty slick, but I'll take it any day!
