in a local store today I receive this 1968 s gold colored coin,pretty shining.but it have what it appear to be a dirt spot on lincolns forehead,looks like rust.i dont want to clean it because a friend told me if you clean it the coin been damaged.what can I do?

That is a bullet hole..haha..sorry, that was a bad joke..I would not clean it.

Pure acetone, with the emphasis on pure, is a coin-safe organic solvent. Depending upon the composition of the contaminant, acetone might dissolve it. Don't rub it or rinse it with anything. Just a quick dip to see if the spot dissolves and then let it air dry before putting it in a holder. Hardware stores are the most common place to find pure acetone. Look for 99% or higher. Follow all safety warnings.

If acetone won't remove the stain, I wouldn't bother going any further with it. If it remains, it is either a sulfide or an oxide stain. Either you accept it or you don't.
For me, it is quite acceptable.

Honestly, it's not worth the effort. These are plentiful and cheap in that grade.

Use a q-tip and ONLY rub it very soft.

Never clean coins. It would ruin the value!!

Looks like a carbon spot, which is in the metal itself. Leave it alone.
