Okay... So THIS was just a feeble attempt on my part to con folks into THINKING I had found a 3 legged 1937-D. Either no one bought it or understood it or cared or...whatever. The truth, however, is that it's the reverse of a 1917-D. (Variety 3.5 legs) 1937-D's, 3 or 4 leg models, just NEVER wore down to the point where anyone would need to restore them.
