That is one weird 1852. What an offset ! When I saw the token at first, I was wondering if that was a lamination at his left hand. When I saw the other side and realized it was double-struck and looked again, he's holding his own arm.

I got 3 more thistle 1/2 pennies since I posted my other ones. I got 2 other 1832's, NS-1D2 (PNS-305), NS-1D3 (PNS-311), and an 1840, NS-1E2 (PNS-504) to replace a lower grade one I already had.

Well, posted my 1/2 pennies and no one cried "Uncle", so I'll start on the original thistle pennies. Here are the first 2 of 11. 1824 NS-2A2 (PNS-202 R-2), and an NS-2A4 (PNS-204 R-3).

1815 "spread eagle" 1/2 P , around AU55 The 1815 issue (imitation of the original 1813) is relatively easy to find in MS as a hoard of them was discovered in the late 1800s/early 1900s by the descendants of the person suspected of minting them. .

Here are a couple of large one penny thistle tokens from 1832. NS-2B1 (PNS-401 R-1) bow far from head, and NS-2B2 (PNS-402 R-2) bow near head.

Here are my 2 NS-2B3's, bow touching the head (PNS-404 R-8). I couldn't resist the one with the drill mark at $11 CDN. on ebay 10 years ago.
