The 1872H of Belzberg was listed as a Specimen 65 PCGS. One of 3 certified by PCGS back in 03.

When you start dropping nearly $ 50,000 for a coin,...you have to do the right research on it.. That is one of the rarest of the rare showing here. Thanks for showing it here...

In that 03 auction,...that coin had an estimate of $55,000 to $60,000 US. I don't know if the listed selling price included all commissions and taxes and fees.

One amazing coin..A privilege to see it here.

Okay, now for a look at the other end of the spectrum. It is ICCS graded though

@ chequer , I once had a complete set of the lowest graded Vickies I could put together,.. Whether we have Mint coins or good coins at least we have some....I love the low grades because if they could speak imagine the stories they could share :)

I think I must have a fondness for 1872-H - I have 6 of them including a couple of low grade raw coins here and three PCGS-graded pieces including A/V, but unfortunately no photos of the certified coins. Nothing so exotic as that nice one on the previous page though, but still good enough for me.

Not sure why I can't find the reverse photo of this one:

@artdio I started putting together a collection of low grade Vicky quarters and now really like the lower grades, which I really never thought I would. So now I find I'm looking at low grade halves and going beyond Vickys with the quarters too. This was my first 50 cent piece though. It's ICCS G4.

chequer, I have been selling off my higher end Vickies and downgrading most.. I decided I would try to re do the low grade collection once again..Its so much fun......Any how here is the last of my 1881's ... I'm posting the ICCS tag but of course the coin has been removed as you see... I'm still trying to figure out the polished remark ?
