Nothing US related, but I got an auction catalogue from 1955 I was after, some money to spend on coins (of course!), a copy of the British Numismatic Journal of 1918 which has an article with a coin I now own in it.

Just an ordinary UK decimal penny. However this one was struck in sterling silver. No, not a mistake. Our Royal Mint has decided to produce a few every year as souvenirs. One of their more fun ideas I think!

I have three Christmases at my house. Two were on the 25th and the 3rd one is later today. So far I have gotten the 1861 and 1862 ihcs, a few mercs I need,and some albums for walkers and Peace dollars.
