These coin-like medals are mass-produced and sold in all kinds of situations, to tourists and such, and come in a wide variety of themes, such as Chinese emperors, historical figures, etc. The first one I believe commemorates one of the "eight immortals" of Taoism. The other seems to depict Buddha. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Actually, the first one is one of a set of 18 souvenir medals representing the "Eighteen Arhats". This particular piece depicts the eighteenth Arhat (Lohan) known as the "Taming Tiger Lohan" or the Venerable Maitreya (å¼¥å‹'å°Šè€.). (Unfortunately, this forum's software does not display certain Chinese characters.) The second piece is a souvenir of the famous novel/movie/TV show "Journey to the West (è¥¿æ¸¸è®°)".
