Nathancrh1, regarding the 47 ML CR population, the original blogs are here - http://carsleys.com/blog/latest.html In one he says "likely less the [sic] a couple hundred", and in the previous blog he says "less than a few hundred". The difference between "couple" and "few" seems significant for something so rare. It's an interesting topic perhaps worthy of a separate thread. PCGS and NGC populations show a total of 65 coins (both MS and SP), so it's difficult for me to believe that 22-33% of all existing examples were graded by just two TPGs. By contrast, the 1948 dollar has 998 total PCGS/NGC, roughly 5% of the mintage, so if we used 5% for the 65 graded ML CRs that means 1300 coins minted. On the other hand, almost half (29) of the 65 PCGS/NCG examples are SP. I couldn't even find a website for ICCS, so it would be interesting to know how many they've graded.

Well that was a good read and all great coins, sure helped pass my time at work tonight. I am envious that so many have such high quality coins. I have about 50 or so fifty cent pieces but nowhere near this quality of coin.
I'm still missing a few of the scarce coins and a few of the earlier Edwards. I do have a VG8 1909 enroute though and am in negotiations for a 32.
Now that I have figured out how to take half decent pics of my coins I will be working adding photos to my inventory software and will share them here as well - this will take some time though, so be patient

This is the last fifty cents coin that I have to contribute to the 55 Days extravaganza.
