E-bay sellers listing items at only just above face value may have access to cheap (or free) postage. I've bought things on ebay that I'm pretty sure were posted at the seller's place of work (probably without authorisation). I used to work for a company where there was a big sack in the corner of the office for outgoing mail and nobody noticed if the odd personal letter or birthday card got slipped into it - of course, that was long before ebay!

Apparently, that seller ran into some common Kennedy halves in decent shape and decided to see what happens. That's all they have listed. It's an exercise in futility, though. They're gonna lose money with ebay and PayPal fees. Oh well.

I wonder if the seller will also combine shipping at 99 cents for multiple coins.

This beautiful 1936 Lincoln can be yours for only $300.

Seller says it's a 1936-D, so it must be the rare "D-less" variety. Now I see why it's so expensive.

It's a good day for great bad coins on ebay.

Next up is a 1969-S Lincoln Cent in an ANACS slab graded "AU-55 Details - Recolored" for only $950.00.

I know it's a bit over the Numismedia FMV list price of Two Cents, but it is slabbed.

The hits keep coming today.

Now, for only a $2,350 opening bid, is a rare 1969-S Double Die Lincoln Cent.

I have examined it closely and believe this is the "Invisible Doubling with Huge Obverse Gouge" variety. Quite rare.

Ha! It's even funnier when you see where he came up with his mythical 98 "grade."

DeputyMax, it's a beautiful coin, although I definitely wouldn't pay 150.00 for it though, since it got a details grade. In my opinion, I would only pay 70.00 for it (not buying it of course).

This one keeps popping up in my saved search. https://www.ebay.com/itm/163445830811

I'd really like to see that reverse, but I guess it will cost me only $400 to find out it is a $40-60 coin.

No returns - nothing he's trying to hide here huh?

According to the seller, this example of the UK's commonest coin (mintage 1,521,666,250) is not only Very Rare, but was also one of the last pennies issued before Decimalisation!

The appalling photography doesn't quite do justice to this awful specimen!
