Quote: I think the best thing to do with such coins is to make them into jewellery.
I offered them 12 on it. It's going to become a potty quarter. Quote: mint rage perhaps

Quote: SCARCE 1500 + YEAR OLD ROMAN COIN Let's just ignore the fact this corroded slug isn't identifiable as "Roman"--or anything. Is it really a coin if it can't be identified? There are currently 4 bids--to they expect it will clean up?

Quote: Wheat you must have an interesting collection. All three of my ancients are culls. One is a tiny unidentifiable slug, the other is a green thing with no obverse and some letters on the reverse, and the other is a barely identifiable crusty. I do have a nice looking Arcadius bronze being shipped to my house right now though.

Quote:I am normally a little more forgiving of the ancient coins, but this one looks more like hammered charcoal. Wow indeed. http://www.ebay.com/itm/204207-SCAR...em2ed83eab77 I have a box full of similar specimens - all from metal detecting in Scotland. I think mine are all probably Roman as the only other thing they could be is Scottish turners (two pence coins). Quote: Extra Wow indeed. if he can sell them, I wasn't able to give them away ! ebay here I come......

stampvirgin, nolawyer is a registered CCF member who always sells pocket it now on CCF. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...play&id=8377True, his coins are somewhat overpriced. That's why I opt not to buy any coins unless they are priced below wholesale.

"this guy's auctions make me laugh" I'm all for a laugh, but how about we laugh at the coins rather than people?

Wow--$160, maybe they got the decimal place wrong? Looks like it was only recently picked off the sidewalk.

I am laughing at the auction..... not the seller... and I know he is on the forum... ebay is ebay and just because you are a member doesn't preclude a mention here.
