There definitely is an accented hair proof Kennedy. Great variety to learn about because you can cherry pick them of dealers. I have done so on a few occasions. Worth 3-4 times the regular one. |

I wonder if such sales are just tax frauds.
For example, buy it at a very high price, sell it low, declare a tax loss and use the loss to offset income and avoid paying tax.

I saw this while scrolling through some coins and thought this was a horrible waste of coins.  Someone destroyed 147 quarter real coins from Guatemala, from the 1800s. The funny part is if they hadn't done that, the 147 coins would be worth so much more than what they are trying to sell that belt for lol. |

I don't know about that - when did the Mint actually add the VDB there ?, I'm thinking later than 1919 And nothing like a propane torch to add a little color!! EDIT: Just looked it up: "In 1918, Brenner's initials were restored to the coin, appearing where Lincoln's shoulder is cut off by the rim of the coin." Edited by Mark1959
