Hello all , found these two lately and have some silvering still on one of them , is the best way to clean it with the least chance of losing the silver to leave it in distilled water ?

I would go over it lightly with a tooth brush. Other than that I wouldn't do too much more to them. I think they are nice as is.

I am so glad I don't live 'over there'. The temptation would simply be too great to head for the rural places and spend all my time in the hunt for the 'biggie'.

Nice finds. Doing it yourself makes them very special.
