Cool. They've tooled an Aurelian into a Numerian. That mustve taken a lot of effort. Did you buy this piece?

My "landgenoot"is correct it's Aurelian and it is not mine (yet?). The reverse is CONCORDIA MILITVM.

I am not convinced about tooling. Die clogging seems to have caused a variety of odd effects. I can read IMP C AVRxxIANVS AVG.

I don't see any evidence of modification at all. The surfaces seem to be close to VF and some patches of very 'real' looking green patination. I would concider it more of a botched legend if anything at all. Someone may have cut an N then realized the mistake and attempted to fix it before the boss noticed and he took away his afternoon 'wine break'.
Nice looking piece too. If I were in the market for one I would concider it. But I would not overpay for it either.
