Ran me $4 at Citadel Coins during holidays, seemed to be the only coin in the book that wasn't overgraded. What do you guys think? I love the design on these.

So is $4 decent for F-12? The Charlton Catalog is a bit useless in lower grades that are not worth certifying.

Trends has it @ $6. You got it for a good price. It's quite an attractive coin.

looks like F12 -F15 and what you have is the near 1... There are 2 types of dates..I discovered this a few years back .. If you look at the last 1 in the date you will see it is closer to the 7 .. There ia another that has more spacing... Not rare but really neat to see

That's a nice one, you did well. I like these designs too. I was going to be in Halifax today and hoping to pay a visit to Citadel if there was time after my writing seminar, but I got sick , so I didn't make it.

My favourite Canadian coin design. Bought an overpriced (and possibly over graded) AU a couple of weeks ago. I'd love to see an MS image of one of these, for wear comparison on the tree branches. I've never seen an image or coin without some wear on the trees. Maybe they get graded by the image of Victoria, which seems less prone to wear... I dunno...
That's a gorgeous coin you got there for $4. Great buy!

Nice image! Lots of detail on those trees. Have to admit, the asking price for $1500 is daft considering I've heard/read of MS63 going for $200. Maybe $400-$450 for MS66 would be more realistic.
