What am I seeing with the D in Dime? This coin is in a PCGS MS67 holder, by the way.

Edit: Oh, yeah. The coin.

Dave its very hard to be absolutely positive from the pic through the slab ,, but it looks like Machine Doubling (ejection ) if the area actually has the raised appearance on the outside edge that I'm getting from the pics,The M also shows some of the same.

I also see what looks like a small die crack ?

Depending on the date some attention may need to be given to the contaminate spots which are starting on the coin .

Oh, yeah. Sorry - call it MS67FB. PCGS did. I probably won't go for it - bidding is right at retail now.

I'm not sure about the MD Metalman. around the M looks more like a die break or crack to me. but a very nice coin anyway. it looks almost brand new to me like it was made yesterday lol

I am way confused here. M/D would have little or no phase shift as here, but the separation seems a little drastic. The doubling also tends to look like ejection doubling with a cupped appearance. I believe I am seeing the same thing on the E in one, but why then, is it not on the bottom horizontal on the E? M/D is sort of like a stutter step and the doubling is flat. This does not appear flat. Plus M/D does not just show up on just one letter or location and this appears isolated. As I look harder around the rim and look at the other devises, I wonder if it is not just reflection?
