Reference Material For New Zealand Banknotes

However, the particular note - a 1923 Union Bank of Australia 5 pound is hard to find information on. Particularly over stamped notes, I have found no reference material for them. I've spoken to NZ banknote dealers who have also struggled on this topic so I was wondering if anyone knew about these notes? Report this Post to the Staff

Very hard to get but held in several libraries. I have copy and happy to look up specifics. If you are looking for values - it is quite hard to determine. There are not many serious collectors of those notes partly because they are very rare. Prices can vary greatly due to demand. Prices have been lower than previously recorded because some serious collectors have since passed away and their collections were sold. Also in Australia a couple of the really big dealers went bust resulting in an influx of exceedingly rare notes. Report this Post to the Staff
