Not silver, but it is still a 48~49 year coin with some miles on it.

At least it was not a 1964 nickel.

For some reason I am finding a lot of 65' us dimes and quarters in my change and I always think the same thing. I also think 'why can't I find this many Canadian 1965 dimes and quarters in my change?'

It always makes me mad when I get a 65 coin. If only all those 1964 nickels we find were dimes...

What is funny is how many craigslisters think 64 and earlier nickels are silver

I got a 1964 nickel in a coin star machine earlier this week. I got really excited when I saw a coin was in there, but then realized what it is. However it was my first coin to get from a coin star machine so can't complain to much.

I was in subway I looked into the tip jar. I saw a dime that looked silver.
My first idea was to offer the lady a dollar for it and tell her I collect coins.
So I moved closer to the tip jar and was looking right into it. They must of thought I was going to steal the money.
So while looking inside, I saw the dime was 1966...

Just think how many silver coins that 1965 dime rubbed up to in its early years.
