Is This A Trajan Silvered Coin ? - Coin Community Forum

hans New Member Belgium 38 Posts	Posted 01/31/2014 08:14 am Can anyone confirm my thought this is a Trajan coin where the emperor lauraete and draped bust right (IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P ) and the reverse is Felicitas standing left with caduceus in right and cornucopia in left (COS V PP SPQR OPTIMO PRINC ). Or is it Pax or Acquitas ? The coins weight is 2.1 gr and its diameter is 19 mm and it is a silvered coin. Much thanks for reactions Greetings from Belgium Hans Report this Post to the Staff

FVRIVS RVFVS Pillar of the Community United States 3446 Posts	Posted 01/31/2014 08:22 am Almost certainly a Trajan denarius 'fouree'. The coin is in rough shape. Some people do collect fouree denarii as a type. But this one is pretty far gone. Reverse I am unsure of at a glance. But AEQVITAS seems like a likely choice. Report this Post to the Staff
