A few of my uglier notes (which I'm no less fond of). I'm especially fascinated by notes with overprints, graffiti, chop marks and so on. China: The Agricultural Bank of the Four Provinces 1 Yuan, 1934 The Bank of Communications 10 Yuan of 1914, Shanghai (mid 1920s issue)

Giving this topic a bump as a much-travelled friend has just given me a bag full of mostly obsolete and low-value foreign banknotes. It's been great fun sorting through them. There are several ugly ones, but this 50 pounds from Sudan has to take the ugly prize:

Never knew this topic existed until now. Ignorance is bliss! Kidding aside, interesting examples.

For the longest time I couldn't figure out what this note was because I couldn't read it. I finally took a picture and enhanced the crap out of it to id it. It is a Greece 500 Drachmai from 1950 - 1953 time frame. If anyone can Id it further I would be forever grateful .

Sorry about the last pictures of that Greece note but it is that bad! Here is a 100 Pesetas from Spain that has sure seen better days.
