I have attached a couple of photo's of two 1942S Florins and a 1949 Half Penny, If someone can give me a idea of how they would grade that would be great. Thanks, Rastis . I am happy with your grade of aVF for the half penny, it gives me an idea what to look for, but I was hoping for a bit higher for the top florin. I don't think the photo does it justice. Looking at the photo of the half penny, I noticed what I think are die cracks on the Obverse at the 2 to 4 o'clock position. Is this a desirable feature to find on a coin? Mr T Pillar of the Community Australia 2180 Posts	Posted 02/22/2014 8:12 pm Yeah looking at those two florins again their grades are probably better than I first thought - I saw a few of these at a show recently and it seemed like even the uncirculated examples were kind of weakly struck in parts. Re the die cracks, depends who's buying. I personally prefer coins without that kind of thing but that's not to say they're undesirable. Report this Post to the Staff
