greeniejim Valued Member Ireland 215 Posts	Posted 02/15/2014 4:45 pm A few members seemed to like coins featuring HORSES recently, I know this one isn't UK but I thought I would share it anyway.... It's an Irish 15 Euro issued in 2010 remembering the old LSD coinage of Ireland before the Euro. The Central Bank of Ireland issued 3 coins remembering the old coinage, the Horse 2010 which oroginally featured on the OLD Half Crown (LEAT COROIN), the SALMON 2011 which featured on the Two Shilling / Florin (Floirin) and the Hound 2012 which featured on the Sixpence (REUL) Report this Post to the Staff

The Halfpenny featured a Sow with her Piglets. The Penny featured a Hen with her Chicks. The Threepence featured a Hare. Th Sixpence featured a Hound The Shilling featured Bull. The Florin featured a Salmon. The Halfcrown featured a Horse.
