It is actually pretty common to get almost new looking cents in change since cents really do not circulate much. They tend to come from the bank, be given out as change once at a store, tossed in a jar, sit in a jar for long periods (months, years, decades) and eventually cashed in at a bank or CoinStar kiosk.
I have occasionally found coins from the early 60's and 70's that look like they could have been minted last week.
