Hey guys I am a colldctor of modern coins and have previously been a member of forums where the members just turn up their noses at my posts about modern coins. I am currently working on complete dansco sets of all denominations. My favorite will always be Kennedys though. Just thougjt that I would introduce myself and show you my newest purchase! This is a 1998 matte finish kennedy a coin that I have been trying to obtain for 6 years.

Nice Matte proof. My Kennedy Dansco was the first one I started, third one I finished. Then hunted around for a good 98 Matte. I actually snagged mine from one of the TV sellers. I collect all coins, modern or classic. I too have all the modern Danscos. I have finished Jeffs, Ikes, Kennedy's, Lincolns except for the 09S VDB and 22 plain, a circulated Washington set, the State set and thats about it. So you have come to the right place. :)

I mostly collect modern coins as well, although I'm branching out into classic coins. This is a great place to learn and share your collection! That's a great Kennedy half by the way!

I have both a raw Dansco complete up to about 2008 and a few nice Registry Sets which you can see in the link below. I have a 1964 SMS Kennedy half in MS67 PCGS, a coin I have been looking to obtain for years as well! Best wishes and congratulations on your nice 1998-S matte proof. Best Regards, George

I started with foreign coins but my local shops only have gold and silver mostly classic US but they deal in bullion too, but very little foreign. I'm working on JFK half's from coin rolls, doing pretty good so far on them. It's always a challenge to get that last hole filler, I'm still waiting for my first 1987 from a roll. Spotty on the P mint but I have a fun date set from 1964-2003 I even found a 2000-S proof Kennedy a few month ago, badly tarnished but still a heck of a find. This place is great one post talks about the future of the JFK half then the next talks about 1,000 year old oriental coins. edit: spelling, added note about full date set, missing 1970 and 1987 thou
